It is Rocket Science

You know how when people are trying to explain something that they believe is not hard to understand, they say:

"It's not Rocket Science."

In the case of the science of Machining Dynamics, it kinda is. Simply known as "tap-testing", this technology is used by major aerospace companies worldwide to optimize milling operations. Yet, it has not been widely adopted by the rest of the machining industry despite its proven benefits.

If that was because it was too complex or too expensive, that is no longer true. New easy-to-use software and hardware makes this technology accessible and affordable to machine shops of all sizes.

FYI - this photo is one of Drs. Scott Smith and Tony Schmitz's graduate students holding their text book on Machining Dynamics.
